self-portrait

changed a little on the Hulk face....feel more comfortable with this one

well...basically finished...I know the Hulk half doesn't really look like me...think about superman then you can find out why....

well, i don't have any idea about adding some photos in...so I guess i'm just going to do it this way...
but still thanks,  john...any C&C now?

here's the rough sketch of doing the portrait for ideas and images....
I'm going to make this look like a comic book cover...
It looks like me, right?
I don't know if i'm doing it right...cause i didn't pay attention to that class...so, tell me if i'm not following the rules...

i see where youre going with this one. it kinda does look like mecha.organic mixing! its nice. is it all drawing???
you should incoporate some kinda of real photography in it.

hey Hu,
from what I recall you're supposed to take that multiple intelligence test from the site provided by the prof in one of the sheets we got from class... and then create your personal portrait based on the results of that test.. (ie. if you're word smart, music smart) did you do that?
this site:
http://www.bgfl.org/bgfl/custom/resources_ftp/client_ftp/ks3/ict/multiple_int/questions/choose_lang.cfm

anyways... i like your approach on this one, your self-portrait through illustration...cuz that's totally YOU. you're always with a sketchbook!! even in class when "you're supposed to be paying attention" you're sketching instead! =P yourself as an illustration is a great idea ^^ even the guy looks like you! HAHA

and if asked to explain some sort of rationale to the class about why you did your portrait this way, just say: i like to draw, so i drew myself and this is how i see myself and express myself... through my drawings. =) something like that!

so i guess what you can do now is work from what you have and make it fit with whatever result you get from that test.. ^^

WOW...Rain...thanks for your comment...that's the longest one i've ever got...thanks...ya...i did the test...my logical smart and natural smart are the top two...so...the mechanical half presents logic, another half presents nature...
well, again, thanks for your comment...

Wow! nice approach Hu! I like it how it's a comic book and you have a bar code on your head! Awesome. and Love your drawing! (always have been) haha.... what's "Mulriple"?!

so u did take the test Hu! awesome! in that case, will u be coloring this illustration? i guess you can make your drawing more abstract by using patterns that remind u of nature instead of literally drawing "plants" to represent your nature smart...this way u can add a lot of texture in the drawing and give it depth...you could also try using "nature" colors like shades of green, orange etc. to represent the nature side.. i actually picture your logical side of the portrait being made up of binary code.. the 010101 language that the computer uses.. because u seem to be very good at computers.. i think u can incorporate that somehow in the logic part of ur drawing... u can use it to replace the outline of your drawings.. or part of your face is in binary code, like your eyes..well those are the suggestions i can think of at the moment... but u don't have to necessarily follow it, but i want you to somehow take from what i said and push this drawing to the next level! go Hu!

overall, it's an excellent piece & keep up the good work!

thanks for all the comments...
first, my misspelling...should be multiple...but somehow, why i always feel it's another way to spell multiple...lol...

i'm colouring it now...ya...i'll add the brainy code on the glasses...that would be cool...great idea...
